Stolen Badges was a one-off project by Ryan of The Umbrella Puzzles/Apple Orchard/Golden Teardrops.
The songs were recorded due to Ryan's amusement of a particular internet meme where on one side, an unknown person showcasing his guitar pedal collection (hundreds of them), while on the other side, a picture of Kurt Cobain of Nirvana using a single guitar pedal. Memes can be inspirational.
